Welcome to Christ the King-Kibera

If you are looking for a faith community where you can discover God through worship, community, and the service of others, you’re in the right place.

Founded in 1992 and situated in the heart of Kibera, Christ the King Parish is a lively and inclusive Catholic community. We encourage strong lay involvement and are fortunate to have members who generously share their time, talents, and resources to shape our common life together.

At Christ the King-Kibera we embrace diversity and seek to learn from one another. Our parish family spans all ages and backgrounds, including both those who gather in person and those who join us virtually from around the globe. Grandparents, single and married adults, young families, teens, and college students come together with a shared commitment to the gospel call to love, justice, and radical hospitality.

dedicated to being a spiritual home for everyone, no matter where they are on their faith journey.

If you feel called to contribute to our community, we warmly invite you to worship with us and stay for Sunday hospitality. Come as you are—there is space here for individuals, activists, thinkers, and seekers alike. At Christ the King, we have a story to share, and we welcome you to become part of it. Your presence will be a gift to us.
